Did you know that some of classical music's most iconic and recognizable works like The Nutcracker, West Side Story, and Carnival of the Animals were all written by LGBTQ+ composers? Come take a journey through queer classical music history as we explore some of the highlights from notable  composers including Bernstein, Tchaikovsky, Boulanger and more! Curated and led by Monarch's LGBTQ+ identifying core musicians Russell Rybicki and Julian Hernandez, this program will be as much a concert as a celebration!

Presented by Sugar Land Civic Arts, this performance will be at the Summer of Sound Festival. Make sure you stick around after the concert to groove to the DJ, and grab a bite at one of the food trucks!
