How?
Monarch Chamber Players (MCP) core musicians are projected to play between 10-20 concerts in our ‘24-25 season, and will assist in concert organization, programming, operations, marketing, and more…all core members have a specific administrative role. Most concerts occur between September - June, with heavy emphasis on December holiday concerts. Most concerts take place in Houston with the potential for touring in Texas. MCP specializes in outdoor neighborhood performances in unconventional venues, as well as formal indoor concerts. Please note that MCP performs standing. All concerts and administrative activities are paid.
Additional “extra” musicians have opportunities to perform as needed–MCP needs extra musicians occasionally throughout our season!
For core positions, Monarch’s performance schedule is not typically conducive to full-time students’ schedules

For core member positions only - Let’s talk! Some things to think about…what are some venues where you think Monarch should perform? What is a piece of repertoire or a program you are interested in leading? What are your strengths? What do you think you could contribute to the Monarch team? What is your chamber music experience?
